Often the most efficient method for communicating to web developers is offering a wireframe, but the rest of our team needs a more visual preview of any proposed site changes or additions. Using some pre-made buttons and other stencils, I fill in my wireframes (once approved) with visual details.

I am not an artist or a web designer however, so I always preface these presentations as a visual tool, not a prescription.

They’re called QR (quick response) codes. A two dimensional barcode that contains a lot of data compared to the old fashioned straight lines.

Via this QR-Code Generator site I’ve been making up various codes just for fun of using it on my phone.

 

Try this one out! If you have an iPhone you can search for a “QR Reader” and there are a few free ones.

Same goes for Android, and other phones with cameras may have such scanners pre-installed. Happy scanning!
